Reducing process water use across our treating plants

Reducing process water use across our treating plants. The detail below covers what changed, what it means day to day for treating plants and specifiers, and where the work goes next.

Working with partners

Sustainability commitments increasingly run through the supply chain, so treaters and specifiers ask us for the documentation behind ours. The certifications and declarations are published rather than supplied on request.

Where the work goes next

The closed-loop copper programme continues to expand, and the reporting around it gets more detailed each year.

Why it matters

Wood that lasts is wood that does not have to be replaced, and the carbon stored in a treated member stays stored for as long as the member stays in service. Extending service life is the most direct contribution the chemistry makes.
